Creamy frozen yogurt bites coated in chocolate are like dairy free fro-yo bites, better than yasso, klondike or clio bars. These high protein yogurt snacks are low in sugar, low in calories, budget friendly, and perfect for adults, kids and toddlers.
Creamy vanilla frozen yogurt bites coated in chocolate are healthier than fro-yo bites, Klondike, Clio or Dibs ice cream snacks because they have only wholesome ingredients. This frozen high protein snack is easy to make and each frozen yogurt bite has 5 grams of protein depending on the yogurt you choose. Just 4 ingredients, easy to make in ice cube trays, they are the perfect high protein frozen snack to keep in your freezer.
Yogurt. Any yogurt works, with fat, fat free, dairy free, coconut, greek. Even flavored if you want your frozen yogurt bites to be flavored.
Peanut butter. To reduce any peanut taste, use a blander nut butter such as almond butter or cashew butter.
Maple syrup. Or use 3 dates, dropped in boiled water for 2 minutes, pitted.
Almond flour. This flour – basically crushed almonds – adds protein and a cookie flavor to your frozen yogurt.
Flavorings. Vanilla and Salt.
Chocolate chips. These are optional, but I like to add mini chips for adding chocolate crunch. Or add cacao nibs.

How to Make Frozen Yogurt Bites

Step 1: In a small bowl, mix together the flour, yogurt, peanut butter, and maple syrup.
Step 2: Stir until fully combined.
Step 3: Add in mix ins such as chocolate chips. Fill a frosting bag with the mixture, snip tip. Or use a spoon.
Step 4: Fill ice cube trays about ⅔ full and freeze for 2 hours or for as long as it takes to be sure the squares are hard and can be removed to dip.
Step 5: Remove the cubes from the ice cube trays. Melt the chocolate chips and coconut oil for 1 minute in the microwave.
Step 6: Allow the melted chocolate to cool a few minutes, then dip the bricks by lowering with a fork, then line up on a fresh piece of parchment and keep frozen in freezer.
Storage
Store leftovers in an air tight container in the freezer for up to 3 months.
Recipe Tips
📌Make them vegan & dairy free. Use a dairy free yogurt, and chocolate that is vegan and dairy free such as Enjoylife or HU.
📌What yogurt is best? Greek yogurt (if you are not dairy free), or coconut yogurt (dairy free and vegan) are best because of the high fat, but I also use fat free with creamy results.
📌Freeze long enough. Keep them in the freezer long enough to be able to remove the cubes intact. Use ice cube trays that make it easy to remove the cubes – silicon and bendable is best.
Variations & Mix-ins
add chocolate chips or white chocolate chips
add berries or chopped fruit
add granola
