  • blender or food processor

  • 1 28-ounce can of whole tomatoes
  • ½ onion peeled and quartered
  • 2 jalapeño peppers remove seeds and ribs for mild salsa
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup cilantro leaves
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Add the tomatoes and the juice from the can to a blender or food processor. Then add in the remaining ingredients.

  • Pulse until the ingredients start to move well. Then blend on low until you reach your desired consistency.

  • Taste, and add in more salt and pepper as needed. Serve with chips or with your favorite recipes.
