How To Make Baked Donuts From Scratch

Step 1. Preheat and prep: Preheat your oven to 350 °F and grease a donut pan.

Step 2. Mix dry ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, sugar substitute, baking powder, baking soda and salt.

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup unsweetened applesauce
  • ¼ cup low-fat milk or almond milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • Melted dark chocolate 70% cocoa or higher

Instructions 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a donut pan with non-stick cooking spray.
