Easy French Toast Waffles – if you love both French Toast and Waffles then this is the recipe for you. Perfect for breakfast or dessert.
Yes, you read that right. How amazing do these sound?
I use a waffle iron like this Andrew James one below:
Any size/shape waffle iron will work, you just may need to cut the bread to fit.
Toppings are entirely up to you.
I topped mine with some fresh strawberries, blueberries and a tablespoon of maple syrup. I live in Canada after all, you just can’t have waffles or pancakes without maple syrup.
These also freeze really well, so are great for doubling or tripling up the recipe to make a bigger batch.
Just place them in a ziplock bag in between sheets of wax paper, so they don’t stick together.
When you want to serve some, you can just place on a baking tray and place in the oven at 180c/350f for a few mins to defrost and heat up.
