Low Calorie Whole Wheat Bread:
I tried this recipe with skepticism, and I was correct to be skeptical. I just took two smallish loaves out of the oven. I’m sure they will be very edible. However, the nutrition facts and amount of dough given in this recipe is very confusing. First of all, it is impossible to make 3 one-pound loaves when the dough only weighs a little over 2 pounds. I don’t know how to make that magic happen. I ended up making 2 smallish loaves in standard 9×5 loaf pans. I calculated the calories and there were approx 2,500 in the basic dough. I fiddled around with the amount of loaves, the amount of slices, etc. and could never figure out how it came out to what is noted in the nutrition. I will just slice it really thin, if possible. It smells really good and will be eaten. I will continue my search for a lighter WW bread.
